The Crescent Drive

No, we aren’t going to be talking about a place I visited, instead we are going to talk about an amazing company that puts out quality clothing. Their moto being “Clothing for every size,” when you visit their website (thecrescantdrive.com) you see that they really do market towards all shapes and body times. My favorite thing I found while researching this company is that they do not sell “plus size” clothing. Don’t kill me yet! Breathe, and read on! Instead of selling “plus size” they say that they “offer extended sizes that will ensure a comfortable and flawless fit.”

A few weeks ago, I received 3 articles of clothing from this amazing company. I’ve worn them a few times, put them to work and I love them! These pieces are not quality that you can find in store. In my package, I received:

-The Boxy dress in Black (Size M)

-The Boxy T-shirt in Yellow (Size M)

-The Band T-shirt (Size M)

First opinion. As I was pulling this dress out of the packaging the first thing I noticed was how nice the material felt. It was very thick (but not thick enough to feel hot). This is a midi dress, and when you look at their website most of their dresses are the ‘boxy’ dress giving more of a comfy feel. I personally wont wear the dress as is just because its not my personal style, but there are many different ways to dress up this dress! I personally added a cute belt and a small heal to dress it up for work. As long as I can remember people have always said not to pair black and brown and its a rule that I love to break. I believe in this circumstance it added a little extra wow to the dress and by wearing a brown belt, it tied it in with the shoes. What do you think? This is an outfit I would feel comfortable going from work to dinner and I wouldn’t feel the need to change!

On the Crescent Drive website you can find the same dress in Grey,and a camouflage pattern, each for $60. They also have dresses that have the same fit but with a V neck and the ones I have my eye on, in blue, a cheetah patter (my favorite) and stripped which are priced at $55. I know some people might feel like these dresses are priced a little high but you have to think of the quality you are getting. I personally believe that these items aren’t priced any higher than items you might find in a local boutique or even a Macy’s. The fabric feels luxurious and it is possible the most comfortable thing I own now!

Both of the shirts I received fit very well, and didn’t feel like a cheap article of clothing that might rip easily. I’m amazed at how each of these pieces just felt very “sturdy” while still being some of the softest material I‘ve felt.

The “Band Tee” pictured, worked well with pretty much everything I paired it with, but as its summer and hot as hell, I decided to pair it with my white high waisted shorts from Southern Alternative. This outfit has become what I’ll ear when we are going out to adventure just because it is so light and comfortable.

Just like the Band Tee, the Yellow Boxy shirt fit very well and was consistent in size and fit of the other shirt. Because it is boxy, it has a little more shape to it meaning it can be worn a few different ways. Ive been tucking in my shirts a lot lately because I do wear a lot of high waist bottoms and just like the way it works, but with this shirt there's enough to tie it a little in the front.

In the end, my opinion is that this company does exactly what they set out to do. They have created comfortable clothing that is very consistent in sizing. Many times, I find that I try on 3 or 4 things from one store, all in the same size but nothing fits the same. I look forward to seeing what else this company creates!
