Our Amazon Prime Day Finds!

Every year, for two days Amazon opens amazing sales for its Prime members. I had absolutely no idea until a week before! Honestly, I've never been a big Amazon shopper. HOWEVER. My husband is an addict! It all started when he deployed. They obviously don't have stores to just walk into like Target or the mall, so if he wanted to buy something, it came from Amazon. In my opinion, he has graduated to what I like to call a "bored shopper." When he's bored and has nothing too do, he browses Amazon. Some purchases make since, a few I will question until the day I die.

For example, this "authentic" Viking horn to drink beer out of. That may I note, has been used MAYBE once because "it has a weird smell." Also, its not like you can put beer in it and set it down because the holder doesn't actually keep the horn that upright. So really, this is just a cool cup to chug beer out of that smells funny. But. He had to have it, so now we have a really weird decoration.
When it came to Amazon Prime day though, we weren't really paying much attention. There was only one thing I needed, but after checking they didn't have any deals on it. Eventually, we decided to scroll threw and found a few things to grab and one BIG item for A.

Starting with the smaller stuff. A has been complaining that the bottles we have our cooking oil in don't have the drizzle tops on them. Surprisingly, after checking like 5 stores, no one has the tops so we just ended up grabbing whole new bottles as well as a cute basket for our fruit.
Originally, I was only paying attention to Prime day because I need a new camera for filming my YouTube videos, I didn't find one but I did find an external mic for when I do find a camera. This one was in the $20 range and had amazing reviews.
All of the games were half off, and we've tried to be more social lately so we figured why not grab them. Its nothing special, but its nice to have a few options. (Also, if you've never played Scrawl...DO IT)
And lastly, out of the small items. A has been wanting a scratch off map forever, so I'm not surprised he used this moment to get one!

The only big item we purchased on Prime Day was this computer. It was SO necessary. A has had his computer for a while and it has reached its point that its just not doing what he wants or needs it to do. He sat on this computer for a day, because like me, he doesn't like making big purchases. But in the end, the sale on this computer was CRAZY. It was about $1,500 less than usual so I told him to get it and he LOVES it.
The biggest lesson I can give if you haven't 'experienced' Prime Day yourself is, you aren't missing anything. Unless you need a large electronic like a TV or computer there aren't that many impressive sales. I will say they had a lot of the Google items on sale and all of the specialty door bells, (like the ones with the cameras) but because we live in military housing and we don't have visitors anyways, there was absolutely no point.
All in all, Just wait until Black Friday if you want to buy random crap at a discounted price. The sales are better.
