Our wedding was fairly simple to plan. I know thats a crazy thing to hear! So many brides are so stressed the whole time they are planning it. But why? It’s you’re day, and in the end no one is going to notice if something goes wrong because your are the only one that knew how it was supposed to be! A and I were pretty laid back about the whole thung and there were only a few things we absolutely had to have. One of those things was the “Wish You Were Here Table.” We’ve both lost a few people that were very important to us, be it a close friend, or family. These were people that had they not passed, would have been the first invited to our big day. No matter how long ago they passed their memories are important to us and because of this we made a table dedicated to these four people. It was so simple and took absolutely no time. All it took was a picture of these four amazing humans and 4 dollar store frames. Something so small and simple, but it was very important to as, as well as a few people that attended the wedding.

Our welcome sign. This was something that I bounced around with for months, not able to decide what I wanted. Originally I wanted this beautiful wood welcome sign that would sit at the entrance, but in the end it would have taken more time and effort I was willing to dedicate to such a small detail. Think big picture guys! What are the things that you will notice missing, versus the things that are just kind of there. This was one of them. So how did I do it? Exactly how I went about my table numbers, so you get 2 diy’s in one! First, everything is from walmart! All together for the welcome sign and table numbers I spent around $25, and most of that were the Sharpie Paint Markers, because they kept drying out

so I needed like 4! All you need is a big frame from the frame section. Get the cheapest one! I’m talking so cheap that there’s not even glass in the middle, just more plastic! ($11) The table number frames? $.80 each and I only needed 6! When I got everything home, A took the middle out of the frame and spray painted the frame portion a nice rose gold to match with everything else. While he was doing that I hit up Microsoft Word and played around with fonts until I found one I loved. From there all you have to do is print them out big enough and figure out how you want the words laid out, and then its a game of trace and fill in. That’s it! Once the words were on, I took some acrylic gold paint (that I already had) and painted the back to make the words pop. How you do this is completely up to you! I didn’t want it very neat, I wanted it fairly messy looking so I just used different strokes while flicking out the edges. It’s the exact same thing for the table numbers, just on a smaller scale!

The last bigger DIY we have for my Pinterest wedding were our wedding favors. I’ve realized that over the years, people have gone from the bags of wedding mints, to coozies and magnets with cutesy phrases. While there’s nothing wrong with that, its not what we were looking for, mostly because we knew the crowd. Hand our guest the coozie and it would probably end up in the trash or the back of a drawer never to be seen again. Instead we did

wine glasses! Remember when I said I didn’t want to use vendors? That applied to tablewear too. I didn’t want to spend the thousands they were asking for disposable stuff. I wanted a nice white glass plate and simple wine glass. DOLLAR TREE YA’LL! You are sleeping on this gift from the heavens. Yes, this was mostly doable because our wedding was SO small and because we needed new plates anyways, but it worked! I bought 50 white plates and 50 wine glasses. That was 20 plates to keep for ourselves (I don’t like to wash dishes every day, don’t judge me) and the rest? I gave to a friend who just got her own place and sold the last 10. I lost what, $30? I would have lost hundreds from a vendor! For the wine glasses, I (really, A did it, but if you ask him, he WILL deny it) got a pale pink chalkboard paint and painted the base. Then I took an S monogram stencil and etched it onto each glass. Super easy! The craft store has so many different stencils, or if you have a circuit you can just make them yourself! I used the Armour Etching Cream that you find at walmart for $5 and it only takes about 5-6 minutes per glass. To add a little flair, I grabbed some twine I had and added tags to each that said “Your glass for the night and yours to keep” as well as some pink chocolates inside the cup. These chocolates ya’ll. I’m not going to lie, they made it to our big day because I was at Hobby Lobby hungry and saw chocolate and half expected them to be gross. They were amazing!

Oh! And our centerpieces? Candle holders, from the dollar tree. Candles, from the dollar tree. If you order online, you can get ’crates’ or multiples for cheaper than buying one at a time at the store. All of this was placed on top of a rose gold plastic charge plate that I got from Party city. When I bought these, they were 4 for $12 and I bought all that they had left. Once it was all on the plate, I just cut up some dried eucalyptus and flower heads that I bought from Jo-Anns. I tried finding some at Hobby Lobby, but their flowers were WAY more expensive.

And thats it! If you guys have any questions, want any tips or have request for blog post or reviews, send me an email!
