Hey guys! Heres my last post on my vacation series! Cozumel, Mexico! This was a pretty calm stop. I think by this stop we were MORE than ready to be home, so the slower nature of our excursion was perfectly okay with us. This excursion was around $80 for Sail, Snorkeling, & open bar. I would be lying if I said we picked this excursion for any other reason than the open bar. This was a little disappointing for me just because on a past cruise to the Bahamas, the open bar was any drink my little heart desired, and they were STRONG. For this excursion open bar meant one choice of beer that tasted like Tecate and some sort of punch that I think was supposed to be a margarita but tasted like lime juice. Even with that, the excursion was awesome.
The sailing was super fun, just because the staff was so friendly and it was just like one big party the whole time. The first stop was snorkeling, which I wasn't looking forward to that much. This part was really only for A and I had no intention of joining him in the water. BUT, the water was incredibly blue and I wanted to see the reefs, so I strapped up and dealt with it. By stopping up, I mean strapping up because those freaking life vest were horribly uncomfortable and went places they shouldn't! It was worth it though, and while we didn't get any pictures because the GoPro glitched (our fault) we did get some great video, found below!
We snorkeled for about 30 minutes before getting back on the boat which was another painful process. I don't listen to instruction well and didn't duck as I got on the boat which resulted in me slamming my head into the bottom of the boat..it felt great. Once everyone was on the boat we were all served drinks and the party continued until we hit the private beach. There wasn't much going on here, they had some paddle boards and kayaks and a few other water activities along with some cabanas. We chose to grab a cabana and relaxed for a little bit to finish off our day. Once the excursion was done and we were back at the port, we walked around for a little bit and checked out the local shops. A, being the lovely man that he is grabbed me a couple of charms from Pandora for my bracelet that I absolutely love! And with that, we ended our amazing, week long vacation. We had our Chef's Table dinner that night (more about that in my prior post) and did nothing but relax and sleep for our last day at sea. It was a great vacation even with the few hiccups we experienced. Next up, our 10ft desk that we built! xo-B
