Hey guys! Today's post is continuing on about my cruise adventures from last month! Our second stop on our Carnival Cruise was Honduras! It was a nice day, very tame compared to our other days and probably the most forgettable. But not in a bad way! We relaxed so much and had absolutely no bad experiences so theres really nothing significant standing out from our day compared to our experiences at other ports. A lot of the ports that I've been to obviously are just tourist traps, but walk for five minutes and you hit an area thats a little more local. This wasn't possible in Honduras. When we got off the ship we had to cross through a shop before we hit a small plaza. The plaza was pretty much just a cul-de-sac of different shops, all selling a variety of things. The best shop that we went in was selling wood pieces that were all so beautiful. We ended up getting this wood 'bowl' that we put on our coffee table and I just love it so much!

In my opinion, it resembles a bird, what do you think?

For day 2 we chose a "Deluxe beach day" excursion, which was about 70$ for both of us. I think this excursion was where we got the most out of our money. Our excursion started with a chair lift ride to a private beach, where we got two chairs, and umbrella, snorkeling gear, a kayak and water floaty.

The private beach was a little crowded (obviously, there were three cruise ships at port this day) but because of the excursion we paid for, we were guaranteed our chairs, so that was nice. The water portion was a little weird just because they had it blocked off so you couldn't swim past the net they had set up. I spent pretty much the whole day under the umbrella relaxing and reading my book. (The Pianist by Wladyslaw Szpilman-Read it, its an amazing true story) A spent the first half of the day snorkeling and enjoying the water. We eventually grabbed our kayak and went off to adventure. They had a separate area for this, which led to this little stretch of beach which had another enclosed area across from it where we got to see these huge turtles. It was so peaceful and the beach itself was beautiful.

How awesome are these pictures from the Go Pro Hero 6? I was so worried about spending the money on it, but it was worth the purchase! Anyways, after our small kayak adventure, we just laid around for a little bit, A snorkeled some more and we took the chair lift back. We walked around the plaza a little before getting back on the boat and did the exact same thing as the day before, found a clam shell to lay in and fell asleep! Thats all for day 2. Day 3: Belize is up next! xo-B
