The Only Bread Recipe You Need

I love bread, always have but the thought of making it was always so daunting. This bread fixes that! Theres no kneading for what feels like hours or leaving it to rise for even longer, 4-5 hours MAX and you have yummy warm, crusty bread that goes perfect with soups...if it last that long.



  • 2 1/2 cups warm water

  • 2 tsp honey

  • 1 packet instant yeast

  • 5 cups flour

  • 5 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup olive oil for bottom of bowl + 1 tbsp for pan



  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

  2. In a bowl whisk together the warm water, honey & instant yeast.

  3. Add the flour and salt into the bowl and mix until well combined.

  4. Add 1/4 cup of olive oil to the bottom of a bowl and scoop dough into bowl tossing until dough is covered in oil.

  5. Cover the bowl and rise at room temp for 3 hours.

  6. Use 2 forks to deflate the dough, folding it over onto itself.

  7. Add 1 tbsp of olive oil to a buttered pan and toss in the oil again.

  8. Let the dough rise again for an hour, uncovered.

  9. Dimple the dough with your fingers.

  10. Drizzle the dough with olive oil and top with salt.

  11. Bake at 450 degrees for 25 minutes.

Special additions: For a little extra yumminess, add chopped jalapeños and shredded cheese (Cheddar) before baking.
